Our values, objectives and principles

We have focused our efforts in contrasting any process of social, cultural and economic ostracism both in the South and North of the world. In the former, we aim for the growth of a society of equals by means of development modalities that can be considered socially, culturally and environmentally compatible. In the latter, we work where structural situations of backwardness and discrimination can be found.

To concretely put in action our objectives, we promote:who we are

In order to work towards these aims, we intervene in emergency situations, such as war or natural disasters, both in the South and North of the world. In these areas, we manage and support long-lasting rehabilitation processes and the transitions towards a more sustainable development.

Alisei implements programmes aiming at poverty reduction, particularly in the following fields: socio sanitary, educational-training, veterinary, integrated rural development, micro-credit, environmental and habitat protection, human rights protection, with a particular focus on women and children. Alisei’s interventions in emergency contexts promote the linking of relief, rehabilitation and development. Furthermore, we support programs for professional training and income generating activities.

We make sure that all of our programs are carried out during a set time span and ensure their continuity by working alongside the beneficiaries, partners or local authorities from the beginning of the organisational process until the moment they are carried out.

All of our actions work towards the more general purpose of promoting endogenous dynamics that pursue self-development and the valorisation of human, cultural, technical and financial resources and the local collective and individual abilities.

ALISEI strives towards concretizing a strategy that contributes to a sustainable human development, trying to contrast the risks of dependency on external aid, derived from taking away responsibility and duties from local authorities and direct beneficiaries.
