The aim of OUR association is to promote the knowledge, studies and initiatives concerning the fight against underdevelopment. We base our workings on the values of human solidarity and respect of human rights in order to fight all forms of racism, war and violence. Indeed, we believe them to be the solution to the conflicts amongst countries and peoples.

Since its founding, ALISEI has managed to accomplish projects for international co-operation and humanitarian aid in 44 developing and emerging countries from Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Since 1986 Alisei implemented more than 430 projects, rehabilitating and self building with
appropriate low cost and manpower intensive technologies the following infrastructures, delivered to the local Authorities and beneficiaries for their direct management: 14 hospitals, 48 health centres, 330 peripheral health presidiums, 180 primary schools, 4 secondary and professional schools, 5 centres for the protection of children, victim of exploitation and abuses, more than 8.000 houses, more than 420 wells, water springs, pools, more than 2.500 latrines, 750 communitarian and household ovens, 18 micro hydroelectric centrals in rural communities.
Alisei promoted and organized 65 associations of small farmers, craftsmen and women dedicated to income generating activities in several productive sectors.
Alisei managed and supported the training and education of thousands of teachers, professors, scholars, students, nurses, doctors, traditional midwives, communitarian leaders, immigrants.

In addition, OUR ORGANISATION has helped farm more than 2.500 hectares of land for the production of food products and cattle-breeding and it has rehabilitated more than 500km of country roads, necessary for the commercialization of agricultural products.

ALISEI has sustained the establishment of public and community structures promoting the conservation and rational use of natural resources of 8 nature parks and reserves in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Gabon, Kenya and Mozambique. WE also contributed to programs against land erosion and have been in charge of reforestation of numerous protected areas, contributing to the implementation of the “Millennium Goals” for the reduction of greenhouse gases.

In Italy Alisei carries out intercultural activities in order to positively direct the changing dynamics of the Italian society, through educational-training programmes addressed to schools and territory.
Alisei promotes the integration of immigrants into the civil society, providing orientation and support activities, such as socio-linguistic alphabetisation campaigns, training and education programmes. Alisei also issues publications on its researches and activities.
